Publishing to the web with iA Writer

Just a quick post to outline how I set up the 3 other blogging platforms I am currently posting to in iA Writer.

Pagecord

1. Generate your API key here.
2. In iA Writer’s settings go to “Publishing”.
3. Add a Micropub connection and select “Enter Token Manually”.
4. In the connection settings use your Pagecord blog URL, not the custom domain if you have one set up. See “Blog Subdomain” here.
5. Enter the API key generated in step 1.
6. Click the “Options” button and select “Markdown” as the format.
7. Double-click “Micropub” to change the name.

Pika

1. Generate your API key here
2. In iA Writer’s settings go to “Publishing”.
3. Add a Micropub connection and select “Enter Token Manually”.
4. In the connection settings use your Pika blog URL here. It can be either the subdomain or your custom domain.
5. Enter the API key generated in step 1.
6. Click the “Options” button and select “Markdown” as the format.
7. Double-click “Micropub” to change the name.

Scribbles

1. Generate your API key at the following URL https://<blog url>/admin/account/api_settings
2. In iA Writer’s settings go to “Publishing”.
3. Add a Micropub connection and select “Enter Token Manually”.
4. In the connection settings use your Scribbles blog URL. It can be either the Scribbles URL or your custom domain.
5. Enter the API key generated in step 1.
6. Double-click “Micropub” to change the name.
